The mind is a powerful asset every person possess, and we are unique because of the way we use it. It is imperative to cultivate a positive thinking mindset, for it is through this mindset that we could recognize opportunities in adverse situations and utilize them for the better. Therefore, through the pattern of our thoughts, we can either cultivate and develop a fixed mindset or a growth mindset.

A fixed mindset is characterized by doubtful thinking pattern; the mind of a pessimist. It is very difficult to recognize opportunities from the perspective of a fixed mindset because it can only see obstacles and what is not there. A person with this kind of mindset will struggle to cease great moments of their life because of hesitation and procrastination. Also, a person with fixed mindset will always think and act within already defined boundaries and never dares to challenge the existing status quo.

The growth mindset on the other hand is a great asset every person should endeavor to cultivate and grow. It is through this mindset that people achieve tremendous success over their lives. It is used by scientist, strategist, entrepreneurs, engineers, and innovators just to name the few. This thinking pattern can help you surmount many obstacles you encounter, enabling you to think through every situation and find solutions to the problems you may have. An individual who possess this kind of mindset focuses mainly on achieving their set goals, continuous learning and growth, and focuses on the "why" rather than "what" they do.

The process of developing a growth is not easy and requires great determination and commitment. Mostly, people with this kind of thinking spend most of their time gathering and analyzing information to gain and advance their knowledge and skills, so that they may tackle different facets of their life successfully. These individuals are long-life learners, and always learn from their own mistakes as well as others. They seek to take the risk of doing something rather than being stopped by fear of failing, as they understand that growth does not necessarily come easy. Therefore, the knowledge and skills they acquire give them the ability to think outside the box and create innovative solutions that addresses modern problems.
